Orthopedic physical therapy focuses on the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, such as joint pain, arthritis and injuries to the bones, muscles and tendons. This type of physical therapy can include a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, exercise and modalities (such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation) to reduce pain, improve range of motion and increase strength and function. As orthopedic physical therapists, we work closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs, and may also work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for every patient.

Manual Physical Therapy

Manual physical therapy is a hands-on approach that uses techniques such as massage, joint mobilization and stretching to relieve pain and improve movement and function. Manual therapy can be used to address a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain and neurological conditions. As physical therapists, we use our hands to apply a variety of techniques to the patient's body with the goal of improving range of motion and flexibility, reducing pain and inflammation and improving muscle function.

Neuromuscular Rehabilitation

Neuro physical therapy helps individuals with neurological conditions, such as stroke, Parkinson’s or spinal cord injury, improve their mobility and function. Neuromuscular therapy can include a variety of techniques such as neural mobilization, balance training and exercises to improve strength, coordination and function. Our neuro rehabilitation programs work closely with patients to develop a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs, but we may also work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient.

Soft Tissue/Myofascial Mobilization

Soft tissue/myofascial mobilization is a type of manual therapy that focuses on treating the soft tissue, such as muscles, tendons and fascia, to reduce pain and improve movement. This type of therapy can include techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy and stretching to relieve pain and improve range of motion. Soft tissue mobilization can be used to address a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain and neurological conditions.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular rehab is a specialized form of physical therapy that focuses on treating conditions related to the inner ear and the body’s balance system, such as vertigo, dizziness and imbalance. Vestibular rehab can include exercises to improve balance and reduce dizziness, as well as techniques to retrain the brain to use other senses to maintain balance. Back Pain Treatment

Lower back care is a specialty that focuses on the prevention, assessment, and treatment of low back pain and other related conditions. We use a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, targeted stretches, heat and cold therapy, exercise and modalities to reduce pain, decrease inflammation and increase strength and function. Low back care can also include education on proper posture, body mechanics and injury prevention.

Post Surgical Rehab

Post surgical rehab helps patients recover from surgery by regaining their strength, mobility and function. By developing a custom treatment plan, we can fast track your recovery and lower your dependence on drugs. This may include exercises to improve strength, range of motion and cardiovascular fitness, as well as the use of specialized modalities to reduce pain and inflammation. We work closely with your surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for you.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a popular treatment that involves inserting thin, monofilament (solid) needles into specific points in the muscle to reduce pain and improve function. The needles used in dry needling are very thin and flexible, and we carefully insert them into the muscle to stimulate a healing response and reduce pain and muscle tension. Dry needling can be used to treat a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain and headaches.

It can be used to treat various conditions, including tendinitis, muscle strains, plantar fasciitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. What’s great about instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, or ASTYM, is that it works best when you continue to do all of your normal activities.

Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR)

BFR is a type of resistance training that uses a tourniquet-like device to partially restrict blood flow to a muscle during exercise to improve muscle strength and hypertrophy (muscle growth). BFR training can be effective in increasing muscle strength and size with less resistance and weight than traditional resistance training. BFR training allows you to get the benefits of heavy lifting while using lighter weights in order to better protect healing tissues.
